Q. How do I qualify for trade?

A. You must be a representative of a bona fide business as we only supply businesses and trade users. It is practise to request a purchase order number from our customers and product purchases must be for use in your business, purchased on behalf of a customer or for resale.

Q. How does trade differ from retail?

Bennetts Trade Sales Direct specialises in electrical product sales to businesses. We offer exclusive prices and all product prices are exclusive of VAT. Prices are normally lower than retail and often there’s no set price – we’re specialists in bulk purchase deals. In addition, 30-day credit accounts are available and we have dedicated account teams to ensure you receive the best customer service available. Where possible, we will endeavour to supply you with the latest exclusive promotional offers for your needs.

Q. How do I open a credit account and how long does this process take?

A. Credit account application forms are available in hard copy, from our sales teams, and for electronic versions on this website click here. If you require a hard copy, simply request this from the relevant sales team, fill in all the details and post or fax the form back to our head office (details are printed on the form). Subject to your company being eligible for credit, your account will be set up in approximately one working week.

Q. How do I know when my account has been set up?

A. You will receive a welcome pack that includes a letter confirming your unique account reference code and your branch contact name and address details.

Q. What account types are available?

A. There are two types: credit accounts are set up for those customers wishing to take advantage of our 30 day credit terms (subject to status). Cash accounts are for those people who wish to pay for their goods immediately but still wish to benefit from our trade service.

Q. What credit limit will I have?

A. Various levels of credit are arranged according to your requirements and are subject to approval by our finance department.
